ReplyDeleteWe heard from Parker on the first dual meet. He went 1-1 at the dual.
ReplyDeleteTucker texted me that he was 2-0 in the duel. Anyone know how we did as a team?
ReplyDeleteLogan Weeks called and said he wrestled at the 125-130 lb 15 and under bracket on 8/7 and went 2 and out. Moved to the 17 and under bracket, wrestled 5 times and placed 4th. Tucker Cook is wrestling for the championship. Logan said he got a skin rash from wrestling a guy with a beard.
ReplyDeleteWe heard from Parker that he got 2nd in 15 and under during Sat. tournament. He wrestled in both cadet and 15 and under so had at least 9 matches. He was tired and happy. Kyle Sether got 2nd during the Reitz tournament in cadets. Both boys did freestyle. Any other word on results? I love the beard story - how old was the kid Logan wrestled?
ReplyDeleteThe kid Logan wrestled must have been 17. We heard that the group saw all kinds of wild animals at the wild game reserve. One story was that a monkey ate some food out of Tucker Cook's hand. Thank goodness we didn't hear any stories about wrestling wild animals.
ReplyDeleteJust talked to Tucker. He wrestled twice in the dual today and was 1-1. He pinned the 1st guy and lost a close match to "A roided out 20 year old" Lol. He is going to have Caleb and Jake call Cindy.
ReplyDeleteTalked to Parker today and he won both his matches at the duel. He had a challenging match with a kid prepping for the Olympics. Kyle won both his matches and Trevor won his first one and was still wrestling when Parker called. They are staying in a hostel tonight and going to the flea market tomorrow and then flying to Capetown tomorrow night. He wasn't sure how all the boys had done. Sounds like they are having a great time - good host families and good sightseeing. They saw a lion feeding on and elephant carcass and a hippo came up to the truck with its mouth open (don't think it was too happy). Good luck Cindy - hope they call soon.
ReplyDeleteI guess the wrestling today was intense and Bobo pulled the boys out of the president catergory where they were wrestling 20 year olds. I heard of medals from Kyle, David and Parker - golds and silvers. I think the boys had fun at a couple of flea markets, played rugby on the beach and are heading to where the Indian and Atlantic Ocean meet tomorrow. They will stay in Capetown an extra day and then fly straight from Capetown to Joburg to Atlanta and home. It will be long!
